It has reached balance. In harmony with herself and the world, she radiates plenitude and serene beauty. Jean-Paul Guerlain composed this distinguished amber-woody perfume for the woman in his life, who did not wear any perfume. The perfumer brought the most precious jasmine and sandalwood from his travels in the East, sacred essences from temples and deities that he wrapped in ylang ylang and vanilla. "Samsara" , which means "eternal rebirth" in Sanskrit, is much more than a statement: this wildly seductive perfume is the living expression of absolute love, the eternal representation of an authentic and sacred love.
As it rises, Samsara envelops us in jasmine flower, which dominates the perfume until the sunny ylang ylang flower embellishes it to join it with the radiant and generous warmth of sandalwood. Finally, orris, tonka bean and vanilla harmonize and sublimate this blend with their magnificent trail.
A legendary bottle
Designed by Raymond Guerlain in 1912, its legendary "inverted heart" bottle is enhanced with elegant scrolls inspired by art nouveau. Its avant-garde cap in the shape of a hollowed heart evokes the delicate romanticism of this monument to perfumery, a true technical feat.
Guerlain is a French perfume house, among the oldest in the world. It has a large customer following, and has traditionally been held in high esteem in the perfume industry. Perfumes by Guerlain are often said to be characterized by a common olfactory accord known as the "Guerlinade". A perfume by the same name was launched by Guerlain in 1921.
