It is harvested in the oak forests of the peninsula. Honeydew comes from the oak. It is dark and dense, and has a strong malty aroma and flavor. Because of its high mineral content it is traditionally used to combat anemia and diseases as a result of loss of minerals. It also has high anti-oxidant properties.
