Douglas Laboratories Betaine Plus 100 Capsules

Betaine Plus contains betaine HCL and pepsin in each capsule. Betaine HCL (betaine hydrochloride or betaine hydrochloride) is an organic element not found in food. It is an acid form of betaine (TMG). The latter is present in certain plant foods such as beets, spinach, or grasses. 

The hydrochloride form is obtained by synthesis. 

Because of this it provides an additional amount of hydrochloric acid that can be useful when its production in the stomach is insufficient (hypochlorhydria). 

Its supplementation may alleviate symptoms such as heartburn and/or reflux.
